Chef Margarida
Chef Margarida Azevedo is a young Portuguese chef carrying traditional cooking into a new generation. Raised between Lisbon and her grandmother Avó Leonor's kitchen in Alentejo, she discovered her mission after realizing recipes were dying with the grandmothers who held them.
She runs Mesa da Avó, a pop-up dinner series in Lisbon, and is documenting recipes from grandmothers across Portugal for her first cookbook. Her philosophy: 'A cozinha é memória' (The kitchen is memory).
